    2 gang socket patresse

Thanks Echo, I do have a double box cutter, and I have used it in the past. I don't like them much. It is do-able but i was just trying to cheat, (a little). :D

    2 gang socket patresse

John, thanks, I had considered it, but I think they'd protrude by varying amounts, not keen but maybe :D I might just have to cut out some brick for the shallow ones. There may not be too many. I'll know when I cut out the plaster. cheers and thanks for the comment.

    2 gang socket patresse

Hi, I have just bought a Victorian house and the ring mains are inadequate, I think they were last updated in the 1980s. So I need to replace them. As I'm not a qualified Electrician, (although I used to be an Electrical Engineer), what I do is run the cables then get an Electrician in to...

    UFH Flow Meters

As a 'clown' and not an 'expert' I think I'd agree with that. I do get the distinct impression that there's a fair amount of BS around underfloor heating. But it is a really nice idea and very effective. I'd do it again, and hopefully next time I'll have learned by my past mistakes.

    UFH Flow Meters

An update, just FYI, I did remove the Flow Meters, (blanked with 1/2" plugs), andddddd, no that's not effective. What happens is that the first outlet port gets a lot of the flow and it diminishes at each port in the header from first to last, the Flow Meter stems in the header restrict the flow...

    UFH Flow Meters

PullerGas, his knowledge may well be expansive, and I'm sure HIS underfloor heating is exemplary, but his people skills stink. I explained why I'm in the situation I'm in, (my own fault I know), but what I was looking for was advice on how I might overcome that, other than digging up my floors...

    UFH Flow Meters

Quoted from your first message: "Running the water higher than design flow rates" Why do I always end up with the IDIOTS of this world ????? :D Read more: //www.diynot.com/diy/threads/ufh-flow-meters.455262/#ixzz42idDqbwo

    UFH Flow Meters

Oh dear, jumping to conclusions or assuming you are right and that the rest of the world is wrong is unfortunate for those who do. I used Pex for my underfloor piping, (which is designed to accomodate water up to 90C at up to 5.5 Bar, read the specs), as to the floor design that was unfortunate...

    UFH Flow Meters

When I first installed the system, the Flow Meters which came with the Manifold always seemed to be leaking and we lost pressure, so I cut the bottoms off and I screwed them in tight, (I basically killed them), and the heating was fine, nice and warm. I've since changed the manifold for a...

Viessmann Vitodens 200W WB2C default settings

Hi, does anyone know how to reset this boiler back to the factory default settings. My Boiler seems to be behaving erratically and I suspect the last engineer who serviced it, (a condescending man), may have 'adjusted' something and I'd like to go back to square one. Thanks

    UFH Flow Meters

I have fitted an Under Floor Heating System in our house, it has 6 zones, each with its own thermostat. Due to circumstances beyond my control, (shortage of cash), I ended up putting in 22mm chipboard flooring, on top of which is 10mm laminate. I would have preferred to use 18mm Engineered Wood...

    Veissmann Vitodens 200W WB2c Pump

Lovely, thanks guys, I think I'll try with a setting of II and see what happens. I can always adjust the heating curve and/or the room temperature, we'll suck it and see. Many thanks Muggles and Simond. :D

    Veissmann Vitodens 200W WB2c Pump

Hi, I'm a virgin at this so bear with me please. We have a Vitodens which powers UFH throughout our home. It seems that the return temperature is too high and is confusing the controller. So I thought that if I slowed down the supply it might help reduce that. Weissmann AFter Sales Support...
