How do you cut hardie backer board ? Tried scoring it and snapping it but broke up into jagged pieces. Should I just jigsaw it ?

is there a minimum width the wall should be from a wallstarter and then the opening of where a front door is going? Worried if it is too small the door will rip the wall from the wallstarter.

This might sound daft but should an internal window sill be level or drop into the window slightly ? Obviously it shouldn't drop into the room or you will get condensation leaks running down the wall? Cheers bob
