    hi there I need to replace some wooden barge boards that are on a balcony. I want to use planed softwood and wondered what I have to do before priming them. Hardwood too expensive. They will eventually be finished with gloss. Should I treat them first then prime then two coats of gloss ?

    Wallstarter near door opening

    is there a minimum width the wall should be from a wallstarter and then the opening of where a front door is going? Worried if it is too small the door will rip the wall from the wallstarter.

    Sound proofing mat which way round ?

    Hi which way round should I stick this sound proofing mat? It is going in a American fridge housing. I just want airborne noise eradicating as I have put silent coat on to stop vibrations. Photos attached. One side is aluminium fool the other is foam.

    Sound barrier which way round ?

    Hi I am about to use dodo sound barrier MLV and I don't know which side to stick it on,to clad an American fridge housing. Should it be stuck on metal side or on the foam side I am trying to absorb sound waves as I have already put silent coat on to stop vibrations.

    Green primer before latexing then vinyl floor
