I need more of these tiles. Very popular design a few years ago but I cannot seem to find any now. Anyone know the name of the design and where I could get more. I remember seeing some at Homebase about 3 years ago but maybe discontinued now. For info - each tile 9.5cmSq. Thanks.

All rads heat up ok. They take 20-25mins to heat up fully. Is this because the boiler is old or is it because the rads are full of gunch? Some rads are on microbore - these rads heat up very slowly and are not as hot as those rads which have wider pipes. Are these rads hotter because of the...

Took a sample from a rad - water clean as a bell. Would powerflushing make the rads hotter quicker or would the new boiler take care of this? Is the Glow Worm Ultracom hx a good one?

I've asked for some quotes to fit a new condensing boiler (my present boiler is 25+yrs old). One of the guys has given me a fair quote but he does not think it necessary to powerflush the system before installing the new boiler. He has said that Powerflushing is "not effective" and is "a waste...

Which is cheaper - running a 9.5kW electric shower for 20 mins or switching the immersion for 40mins on to fill a cylinder tank - then having a shower??? May sound like a daft question but let's have your thoughts. :wink:

Could someone give me an approximate cost for an electrician to install an electric shower. The shower up at the moment runs off the hot water tank. The cost would involve replacing the existing boiler fed shower with an electric one which I have already bought ? Cheers.

Thanks Agile, The HW tank seems to be producing gallons of HW itself (we haven't switched the HW on since last March!!). I cannot work out what's going on??? Could the fact that I cannot get CH be due to a faulty motorised value actuator?
