It was the switch with RCCB on it (and a test button) on the main distribution board. It has a three-circle element and fan for the oven, and a grill all within the oven. Mains lead looks ok No excess water has been spilt over the appliance.

Thanks for the reply. Since the intermediate switch is simply a type of junction, is there anything I should be aware of when connecting the wires (although it sounds straight forward enough and instructions should be provided anyway)?
