    Taps removed, new connectors put on,tested whilst not fitted to basin and NO leaks from my connections but some water inside the 'block' itself. Fitted back to sink, like a pro! But still water gathers inside.Tap is sealed flush to basin. Horseshoe is tight on...the water must be escaping inside...

    Thanks, when you say it wont last you mean it is only of use to get the rings on and then is washed out? Also if I have two of the larger o ring fitting areas, should I fit two?

    Sorry to be numpty, you mean hold them both together and check.? Would the difference be noticible enough for a novice to spot it? Should I buy the just o rings instead? Thanks

    No the originals are still on the tap, leaking if I turn the water back on.The originals had two on them like this. I picked these up today rather than look for new o rings for the ones currently fitted

    Thanks, pity she had already left feedback as I could say a few words. So, do I push the small o rings to just below the nut part of the tail or are they in the right place when you buy them? Also they came with two o rings on each tail , do I use them both?

    Another thing I see is that all the tap connectors I can find 15mm x 3/4" are 10mm bore will this make it even slower? and/ or can you get them with a bigger bore? And is it ok just to connect the tap connectors direct to thenew bath tap plastic tails, would I have to use ptfe or anything...

    Thanks for all the help.It all went ok.No leaks, no over tightened connection.I even used the fairy liquid trick to 'slide' the wc into the connector.

    Thanks This is all very useful and exactly what I need. I will of course take all advice and follow it. I have been worried the recommendations of a local firm would be very expensive and the more knowledge I have the better I am able to know what is required and hopefully keep the price down...
