With :?: :?: My Ferroli HE31C has been a 'challenge' over the last 3 years (new pump, new diverter valve) and now has a leaking heat exchanger connection :roll: I would be interested to hear what your intended replacement is :)

Thanks for the reply Boiler is about 18 months old but wasn't registered apparently so no warranty :( D codes are 'delay' - d1 is 2 minutes delay after use of DHW, d2 is indefinite and kicks in once boiler reaches 'overheat limit' (92C I believe) and stays until boiler has cooled down...

Had similar issue this last weekend - ticking from diverter, no display so looked totally dead. Solution (pro temp) - the diverter is sticking and not allowing the boiler to initialise, give it swift tap with a screwdriver, fixed it for me but don't know how long for :roll: Steve ps...

You're right :) It wasn't the warranty, it was the price. Still, the old addages always hold true and there are so many that apply here - you get what you pay for or perhaps, you reap what you sow, or possibly fools rush in where angels fear to tread. If it goes, it goes - the next one...

All fixed. :D Isolated the pump and put 240v across it - blown fuse immediately. Got replacement Grundfos 15-50 from PTS, split head from body and replaced the faulty one in the boiler. Easy peasy, only took 30 mins and all is now warm and toasty !!! Steve

Doh - again !! You're right :D Just had a quick look and sure enough there are isolator valves with the unit so should be OK. Many thanks :P Steve

My Combi system does not have any isolator valves between the boiler and the rads (doh!). Fine until you have a boiler problem so - (once bitten as they say), whilst I have the system down I will take the opportunity to fit valves on both flow and return. Does anyone have any reccomendations...

Any ideas anyone ?? It's getting very cold in here :cry:

Looking at the pump in my combi, it seems to be the same as a standard Grundfos 15/50 except for the bit with the impeller etc. A replacement 'boiler pump' is about 3 times the cost of the standard Grundfos pump so I was wondering - has anybody tried swapping the pump motor body onto an...

Just spoken to Ferroli technical and they suspect the pump (although a bit vague really) ?? Would I be able to disconnect the pump and run boiler in DHW mode to confirm if this is the problem ?? Steve
