Hi, we have just inherited an AEG Lavamat 16800 washing machine and tried it out for the first time. I find that it goes straight from washing to drying without stopping and I cannot work out how to set it to wash only without drying. any ideas. thanks isaac

yes it does start and stop. also if I turn the control thermostat (normally at 2) to zero and leave for 10 seconds and then return to number 2 it works normally.
