1/2" & 15mm Copper pipe how to tell the difference?

As the title really?

Just adding to my existing Rads using Speedfit.

The house is 1958 & the extension 1988.

Any clues os simple ways to tell

There is no difference. The outside diameter is the same. The wall thickness may vary though.
