100mm underground pipe connections

I would appreciate any opinions as to whether there is much difference between connecting 2 plain 110mm underground pipes joined by a coupling socket or connecting one plain pipe to a socketed pipe? The price is about the same but I wondered if one option is preferable to the other.

Only difference I can see is joining 2 plain ended pipes with a collar provides 2 joints so slightly more movement in the drain if required, but plastic is flexible enough to absorb that anyway. Just comes down to whats provided/purchased for use.
