Hi

I have a CCTV PSU. Looks well made, multiple outputs with ply fuses, LEDS to indicate health and battery backup.

However, i put in the battery today, failed the mains and there was a split second blip which caused the DVR to reboot. Cameras I can live with, but not the DVR.

Any one any ideas how i can frig the output for the DVR only please? Maybe add a large electrolytic in parallel with the output?

Any thoughts please?

Cheers

John

Get a psu that works?

A BIIIIG capacitor on the output might help but you'll have to watch the inrush current. Maybe use a series resistor from the psu to the capacitor.

Alternatively, connect the battery to the psu output with a reverse biassed schotky diode. This could be a bad idea if the Psu is a switch mode...
