I had lighting in fitted wardrobes that have now been removed. I wanted to replace the 2 way switch with a normal 1 way. When i removed the cover there are red blue and yellow wires going to it and what looks like a yellow and green earth. Which wires go to the new switch???

you don't say what wires go where at present.. we have no way of knowing what is what..
however, just remove one of the wires into a terminal block to make it 1 way.. ( probably a blue or yellow.. the one to the L2 terminal.. )

Can you provide a photograph, I'm wondering if the you mean Gang instead of Way?? What has happened to the other switch if it is 2 way?

Is there another switch that turns on the same light? Is that what you mean by two way?
