240v into bathroom ?!

That does not appear top be a 240V shower.

The clues for me are the label that says the shower must not be connected to mains water supply, the thing the label is attached to that looks like a pump, and the fact that the shower appears to be fed by two pipes (hot and cold?)

So I would suggest the tranny is still in circuit?

It's not an electric shower, it's a pump assembly.
Is there a reason why this unit cannot be directly connected to 240V?
As the water hot and cold should be at balanced low pressures, then that is why mains pressure cannot be connected to it.
