32amp or 13amp appliance

Can anybody tell me from looking at these pics whether this is indicative of a 32amp or 13amp fuse rated appliance.
Pics are of an electric hob.
Thanks in advance.

Looking to replace it with a hotpoint ceramic hob crm641dc with spec 30amp fuse rating. Would i be correct to assume current plug set up is sufficient?

No. just because the existing set up "works" it does not prove the cable is capable of carrying 30 amps.

To be sure you need to find out what size cable is use to supply the power to the cooker connection point on the wall.

Have a look at the cable closely there should be some indented print on one side of it- looks like 6mm but hard to be certain

It would help if one could read the picture. As said 5.5 kW = 21.96 when corrected to 230 volt.

The cable is white so likely 90°C but other than that all I can see is the connection diagram showing how to arrange links for single, split, and three phase, in UK it will be single phase.

In theory all cable should be selected to match the protective device, so if the existing fuse/MCB/RCBO is 32A then any other hob should fit. However people do not always follow the rules. I find that looking at cable it is hard to be sure unless there is some writing to say, I use crimps and try a blue if it fits then 2.5mm² then it that does not fit a yellow, if slack fit then 4mm² and if tight then 6mm² trying to measure with a micrometer does not really work.
 
At my house for years we have had 245 volt most times when I measured, however there have been some solar panels fitted in the local area, and now 225 to 230 is more common. Average voltage may be 162.6 and the peak may be 325.2691 but for normal use we want the heating effect and for that we use 230 volt RMS.

However I see your point in that the changing of the tapping on local transformers has been slow. However solar panels have forced DNO's to adjust the local voltage or the panels would lock out on over voltage too often. So today I would say most transformers have been altered to the agreed European voltage. Although only in the last couple of years.

However the appliance shown is a 32A appliance even if we don't know if the supply is. 21.96 is over what a 20A MCB is designed to give and although you can get 25A they are rare. However reference method 100 2.5mm² is rated at 21A so there would be nothing to stop one feeding the unit with 2.5mm² cable in fact since white likely 90°C rated so over the 21A rating.

More likely 4mm² or 6mm² but until measured still unknown.
