Our rooms have a very long reverb' of which say if you pick up a coffee mug' it sings' metals the likes of wires and other mateials sing' bathroom tiles sound' the door posts sound hollow' bringing down roof noise' infra-noise' if you clap your hands it clacks and hurts your ears' The light switches are very loud' this old house seems to be very noisy' sometimes the likes of a Tibetan singing bowl' the back drain outside seems to sing at a a high pitch' the likes of bone chiner gently clattering
The sound has given me quite bad tinitus'
Is there some way of cutting this down somewhat'
My first thought woul be to mastik every wood furnishing to the walls' the likes of window frames and door frames' but how dos one stop the plaster boards singing off the door noises' or if the dog barks' going to be quite deaf my wife an myself if we can no get a handle on this'
Apreciated in avance'
Ez
Nobunoni'
P.S. there is no way you can run a fan or airconditioner here cos the high frequency wine woulkd just do your ears in'
Could a lot of the extended reverb be down to transformer substation hum' if so how would one go about deflecting such frequencies and sound proofing the house rooms' ! !
