Acrylic Paint Removal on ceramic tiles

On assisting with painting house the ceramic tiles have a lot of paint splashed on the ceramic floor tiles.
What is the easiest way to remove the paint without damage to ajoining carpet.

What kind of paint is it?

The title says Acrylic, anything more specific than that we probably wouldn't understand as it'll be Austrailian. Or at least Austrailian named.

Dip a cloth in boiling water and lay it over the paint mark....the conmbination of heat and moisture wshould soften the acrylic enough to be able to either pick it off or use a scourer (gently)
