When you say power do you mean to heat the hot water or pressure?

The reason i ask is because when i turn on a hotwater tap upstairs the pressure is not anywhere near the pressure of the downstairs hot water tap. If i added an extra rad are you saying it could effect the pressure of the upstairs hot taps even more.Thanks
 
both ..the higher the tap pressure the more it needs to heat it. mains water obviously is cold and it needs to be instantly heated on demand, that takes a lot of power. The heatin water comes into the boiler warm and is just heated up and recirculated.
