Advice on Morello Cherry Tree Pollination Please

Hi,

I just pruchased a morello cherry tree but forgot to ask at the garden centre if it is self-pollinating. Does anyone know?

Don't know the answer to the exact question but my old mum has one. Since gardens and roadsides have ornamental cherries in abundance, hers is always well-pollinated and bears good crops for the birds to eat and drop on cars. No need to get another cherry tree unless you live in the Orkneys.

Thanks JohnD I never thought about the 'cars' issue - I bet my neighbours are going to love me !

Your mum was right - I managed to find some information and most cherry trees are self pollinating
