Hi All,

I need some help with an AEG Lavamat Turbo washer/dryer.

Model - L12700VIT
Type - P6497679
PCN - 914601902/02

Machine age - 7 years

The start button appears to have become intermittent and I just wondered if there was anything else, other than a new PCB, that could be done.

When the machine is turned on and set to run, the start button doesn't operate. It's one of these buttons that doesn't have a possitive "click" other than when you hear the door lock operate...only the door lock doesn't operate all the time. It may take several pushes of the button...or many more, until eventually the machine decides it will lock the door and then run the cycle.

I'm sure it's the start button (perhaps it's one of these with a metal "pad" that has become deformed or something?), but as these modern machines are all computers now I wondered if there might be a more common problem in the electronics or something that might be preventing the machine from operating properly.

Any help would be great!!

Thx

Thanks for the reply Zipper...but I think I may have confused you with my initial post.

You have sent me the link for the replacement switch for the On/Off button on the left, however the button that appears to be faulty (I think!!) is the Start/Pause button on the opposite side of the control panel.

Any further advice is gratefully received....
