The biggest problem is that I i have a booster pump feeding mixer shower so when air gets trapped in the pump it shuts off completly.

Problem accured after I drained both central heating and hot water (including header tanks).

If i turn the hot tap on before the shower it coughs and splutters and the problem goes away. the shower works fine.

Not sure if it is anything to do with it but it only seems to happen once the radiators have been on?

hope someone can shed some light on the problem.

Regards Ben

you would need to fit a flange to the top outlet of the cylinder so the pump draws water from below the trapped air at the top.

:)

who knows... could be dissolved air separating as its heated...
its very common though, which is why all shower pumps are to be installed with a flange or side exit on the cylinder.
