Hi All, I need some advice.

The water board cut off our supply for a day while they were replacing pipes up the road, and since then there seems to be Air trapped in the cold water system?

Whenever we flush the downstairs toilet, the pipes make a real racket until the cistern fills up again - turning on the basin tap while the cistern fills up helps a little but you can actually feel the vibration through the taps - problem is there's no bleed screw that i can find in the pipework.

Can anybody offer some advice as to how to go about bleeding the air from the system.

Thanks

Nick

Hi.

When work is done on water pipes, the first valve to be opened is usually at the w/c.
So all the dirt can collect at this valve.

It could be that you need to strip the valve and give it a clean.
