Hoping somebody can shed some light on the problems?!
We have an Alpha 240p boiler with 2 problems:
1) Boiler only produces hot water when it is switched to the central heating option, and when the central heating is on. When switched to hot water, only the electrical supply light goes green and it just will not fire up. Not so much of a problem during the winter but going to be unbearable during the summer!
2) More recently, when the boiler is on (switched to central heating option as above) If I turn any hot tap on more than a slight dribble, the boiler cuts out and then my water goes back to cold in a few seconds. I turn the hot tap off and the boiler fires back up again!
Does anybody know what could be causing the problems and/or how to fix?
