I have a problem with the diverter where the DHW is heating up the CH flow pipe. I replaced the large diaphram a few months back when it turned to mush and i checked the smaller one (on top of the diverter?) which needs relacing. Is the Diverter servicable or do i have to buy another. Do i sound like i'm on the right track, i've read some of the other probs and i think i'm onto something....... Until someone pull the rug from under my feet.

Entirely serviceable if you have the tools, the parts and the patience!

Hi cris, seen your name a few times. Sound like you're the man.... I've just bought a service kit and will give it a go tomorrow. It cost me £43.70 as a new Diverter Valve is £157.21 + vat... Worth a try i thought. Cheers.

Bloody hell cris... Thanks. I think it will come in useful. I think this will be a kitchen table job after i've sent the wife and kids out.

Got a service kit, removed Diverter Valve, stripped it, cleaned it up and replaced all the parts from the kit.......... Replaced Valve and fired it up...... So far things are looking good, when holding the CH flow pipe and running the DHW the CH flow pipe remains cold, where as before it would heat up aswell. No real problems except when you disturb old compression fittings they start to leak so handy to have a handful of fibre washers and rubber seals. Took me from 10am till 3pm. Did not need any special tools and would not think twice about doing it again..... :D Thanks to those who use this forum and thanks to chris for the diagram.... Ian.
