No. But as far as being a politician and being heard and making a difference is concerned then yes.Do you have to be famous before you can be fully immersed in a project?

Oooh, the other chap Tim Smith lives in the same village as my folks and my dad's had dealings with him and his wife, thinks they're a pair of tossers.
That's not how it actually works here. Just saying. He has presented the Government with the wishes of the majority, it is for the elected government to carry out our wishes....
He wouldn't have had a choice, the media storm was too great...Indeed, and despite Godfrey being a close personal friend of Nigel, Nigel had Godfrey removed from the party.. UKIP is the only party who will not permit former members of the BNP or National Front to join...It is such a pity they permitted several washed up Tories to joinI don't like him - he was the face of a party that attracted some idiots, yes, and some racists too.
'Bongo Bongo Land' comment is not what you want to hear from UKIP MEP Godfrey Bloom etc.
No place in today's society.
So you are telling us that he did nothing and Cameron gave us the referendum out of the goodness of his heart..No. But as far as being a politician and being heard and making a difference is concerned then yes.Do you have to be famous before you can be fully immersed in a project?

Nevertheless, that is what will happen. That's not how it actually works here. Just saying. He has presented the Government with the wishes of the majority, it is for the elected government to carry out our wishes....
Yes indeed they do, but in the middle of it he had no choice than to get rid of him, please don't say it's out of the goodness of Nige's heart as that we will never know. Don't take it personally, it's not just Bloom, it's happened over many an MP and I should imagine more in the future too! Remember these people are supposed to set good examples, bongo bongo is not a good example!Media storms blow over..He wouldn't have had a choice, the media storm was too great...Indeed, and despite Godfrey being a close personal friend of Nigel, Nigel had Godfrey removed from the party.. I agree, but I'm not sure that the Bongo Bongo land comment was racist, it does suggest that Bloom is from an earlier era where political correctness was less of a concern as was the feelings of those who wish to be offended.. I rather enjoyed the offence that he caused in the EU Parliament with his Ein Folk, Ein Reich comments that got him escorted out of the building.... I would rather have someone who is less polished but knew his stuff than some mealy mouthed say nothing professional politician.. Doesn't UmBongo come from Bongo Bongo land?Yes indeed they do, but in the middle of it he had no choice than to get rid of him, please don't say it's out of the goodness of Nige's heart as that we will never know. Times change, he has a duty to keep up with them if he wants to be involved with politics and make changes for the more modern UK! Or he comes over as offensive and well.. you know the rest!I agree, but I'm not sure that the Bongo Bongo land comment was racist, it does suggest that Bloom is from an earlier era where political correctness was less of a concern as was the feelings of those who wish to be offended.. My question is this why does he generate such loathing in the remainers and the like ?
Cameron quitting was a cowardly thing.. but I don't think I'll ever understand why Nigel quit right after. If it's been a passion for 20 years, why did he give up on it as soon as he got what he wanted? Surely a real passion you'd like to see it to the very end and do what's best for the country he said he loved?Over twenty years fully immersed is hardly dipping his toe... He has presented the Government with the wishes of the majority, it is for the elected government to carry out our wishes.... Seems that the original PM ran back to mummy having a hissy fit, leaving a woman to sort things out for himHe dipped his toe and then retreated. Brave man.......
I would like openness and honesty and perhaps just a little rude rather than a constant sea of grey PC hogwash. The PC brigade can be as bland as they like but you don't get to see what they really believe in... Perhaps I am a little old fashioned myself in wanting to see the warts and all....People worry me when they appear to be perfect... Well, apart from myself that is.Times change, he has a duty to keep up with them if he wants to be involved with politics and make changes for the more modern UK! Blimey, umbongo drink, loved that - and kia-ora. Not just for crows
Well Mr Perfect I don't understand why you can't have openness, honesty and passion but also keep up with the times with what words you address the public? Does he have to use outdated words that are detrimental in order to not seem bland? No!!I would like openness and honesty and perhaps just a little rude rather than a constant sea of grey PC hogwash. Cameron quitting when he discovered that he would actually ave to do some work for a change and that his nice soft job in the EU when he left office had just vanished is the lowest form of spinelessness I can think of...I can only guess about Nigel but would suggest that he knows that running a party to leave the EU is completely different to running a party to win seats in the houses of Parliament.. Leaving the EU needed someone who was fast thinking, reactionary and a bit of a dictator to get stuff done and at that there is no one better.. To do well in the 2020 elections requires much planning, organisation, and discussion.. Add to that UKIP needs to modernise into a much slicker operation under a new leader.. The sooner UKIPs growing pains are dealt with, the more time they have to win over new voters, so it is best to get the messy stuff sorted and settled asap... I doubt that Nigel could have done that but I am sure that Di James or John Arnott most certainly could... And Nigel gets to do what he does best over in Europe..Cameron quitting was a cowardly thing.. but I don't think I'll ever understand why Nigel quit right after.
