Does anyone know where I can buy an anti-vandal steel cable protector for covering a cable on an external brick wall?

You see them on public buildings sometimes, covering the first ten feet or so of cable from the ground up. I've done a Google search but can't find anything.

Thanks.

jsut be carefull how you fix it, dont use screws (they can be undone)

Sorry - I thought it would have been obvious that my suggestion was not meant as a sensible one...

I realise that this thread is ancient but the need for anti-theft protection for cables and pipes is very current. This company http://jmlhardware.co.uk/security-products/galvanised_pipe_protectors-html/ supplies exactly what is needed for many applications.

I am a director of a management company looking after a block of flats in south west London and copper gas pipe theft is a constant worry. We are about to install this Pipepro system - much cheaper than swapping the pipe from copper to iron.

I was on holiday last year in the Italian lakes, and loads of houses there have copper guttering and downpipes.

Can't understand why they don't get nicked.

I have an idea they use copper-plated. It is very light and not very soft.
