Hi All,
I have an Ariston Clas HE Evo boiler and a Nest thermostat. I have never enabled it, but noticed my boiler has an 'auto' function on it. This is supposedly where it adjusts the boiler temperature based on conditions it's told by the thermostat and external temperature sensors.
According to the manual, it works with an on/off thermostat, an on/off thermostat with external temperature sensor and another type of sensing sensor.
I was wondering whether it's worth me enabling this mode using a nest? Obviously the nest knows the external temperature but didn't know if the boiler would have an extra contact for an external temperature sensor, or whether it would use the information the nest has?
I currently just leave the heating temperature on max (~82ºc) and let the thermostat turn it off when the desired temperature is reached.
Thanks.
