when the boiler fires up ,im getting a big woosh and feels like boiler is going to take off, seems like there is a delay in igniting the burner and seems im getting a few seconds of gas build up, any idea?

Has any work been carried out on the boiler like gas valve replacement? Boiler service (not the 15 minute safety check which is taken to be a service) is essential for smooth operation of boiler.
