Ariston Micro Combi problem.

Evening all, Posting on behalf of my father in law whos having this weird problem with his combi.
When calling for heat by either dhw or heating, the boiler lights for a couple of seconds or so then shuts off then relights again before shutting off again and so it goes on without actually heating any water.
Anyone have any clues.

I am not exactly sure which model you are refering to.

However many Ariston combis made 2-3 years ago had a very common PCB fault causing unwarranted flame failure lockouts on a random basis.

It may be a faulty PCB on yours, they cost well over £100 !!!

Of course a boiler engineer would check other aspects before concluding its really the PCB.

Can confirm boiler is approx 3 years old, still not too sure of the model number yet.
