Asbestos or non asbestos slates?

By the looks of the pic I would go along the lines of saying YES.
A member of my family had asbestos slates on an extension at the rear of their house, and they had weathered just like the light coloured ones in your pic. The dark ones I doubt are asbestos, That looks like ones that have been replaced for some reason.

I agree and also think the newer ones are too - now if that central gutter was a tapered lead covered one - I`d be thinking welsh slates - but taken together , I think economy job
