you can test the thermocouple but how can you reduce the oxygen and to what level to test an asd?

I think the OP was wanting an FFD time on a fire and not asking how to test the ASD itself, agree there is no "test" for example the ASD tube on a baxi bermuda can be checked by placing finger on it and making sure pilot starves, thus shutting off.
