Backgrounds which suck, which plaster?

I was wondering about the type of plasters to use on different backgrounds.

I have three types of wall to cover:

Crumbly internal wall grey bricks (1930's house)

External bricks

Previosly plastered wall (for a skim coat).


What types of plaster is needed?

either thistle bonding or sand/cement/lime render, with thistle multi finish.

External bricks

thistle browning or bonding with multi finish.

thistle board finish with pva.

Hardwall and mutlifinish, as well as a bit of PVA
