Well as the big freeze thaws, has your phone started ringing yet?

How do you see 2011 and the vat increase effecting your business.

I think if your a plumber the bad weather always seems to be healthy.

Unless you are spending 20k on a roof, the VAT increase isn't really going to be that excruciating.

Off the top of my head (no calculator to hand) on a £300 job its around £7.50, on a £2k job it's around £50 extra etc...

Most roofers/builders with any business sense will upload the extra increase onto the job and offer 'no vat increase'. It's what virtually every shop in the UK is doing at present to get the business in. Use it to your advantage
