Anyone know where i can get bars of solder from, occasionally we still need to ball a lead joint!

My gaffer say it used to be called grade D or 50/50 but i have never owned a bit of it myself (too young)

A bit 1/4' by 1'' by 12'' would do me till i retire tbh.

Any GOOD plumbers merchant.
Don't forget the moleskin and tallow. But you can get away with kitchen roll and LaCo flux or, of course, Lard!

Newspaper and laco does me, can't say i have looked high and low for solder but last time i asked in PTS they didn't stock it. Ill ask about. Just nice to have some for that odd time.

Cheers

Why would you want to wipe a joint, I doesn't comply with regs and is not allowed anymore. A mechanical joint is the only method allowed now I'm afraid, unless your doing solderd dots on lead panels and roofing.
