Hi everyone

I have a corner cloakroom basin with splash tiles above. My flatmate has put his foot on it to get to the window and it has come off the wall.
The wall is old plaster on to an external wall.

The plaster in my house is old and when this has happened before, I find the plaster is crumbly and will not hold another plas plug. I usually drill and new hole where the plaster is more solid, but on this occasion I cannot as the location of the basin is fixed.

Any ideas on how I solve this. Is there a way to firm up the hold hole or a fixing I can use that will hold.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Bob

If its an external wall could you not drill beyond the plaster and get a fix into the brickwork behind and use longer screws.

Thanks for the input. Someone else said the same to be in earlier today. I am going to take the basin off the wall and temporally cap off the hot and cold pipes. I've purchased a basin bracket so i hope to attach by long screws and attach it to that.

Thanks again.
