I'm fitting a bath that comes with those 2 metal brackets that you fasten to the wall under the tiles. Is that (in your opinion) a good idea? I know it holds the bath very firm but if you have to take the bath out for some reason you are stuffed.

I was thinking that I could put the brackets in a position underneath near the outside edge so I can get to them. Then I could silicone the bath to the wall and tile down to it.

What do you lot think?

Cheers.

Just get some tilers lats of similar, one each end, pin the underside to the wall at each end with good fixings through the lats (full height) one good fixing atop a less good one abottom. You can do same on any end that is against a wall.
