bathroom extractor fan help

hi there guys and gals

i need some advice

ive just bought an extractor fan to replace the old one in my mother inlaws house and on closer inspection its a little tricker than i thort..

its and early 80's house and has 3 core red, yellow, blue cable running to the old extractor (the old extractor is then labled live/nutral/earth)

the new extractor is then labled with numbers?

any help appreciated would be great? thort it would be as easy as wiring a new light fitting

Were there no instructions with the fan to tell you what 1,2 & 3 referred to or a circuit diag.?
