Bathroom Extractor with timer & humidstat wiring

In the picture of the terminal block in the fan you have grey as the neutral but in the circuit diagram you have grey as permanent live.

The fan has neutral in the middle of the three terminals. The diagram has them in a different order

Might be worth checking that

Is it a two way a switch with 3 terminals? If it is then you have the switched live in the wrong terminal, put it in the same terminal as the light.
EG if marked COM, L1, L2 then put in L1 with light
If it's marked L1 L2 L3 then put in L2 with light.

I think fans working with light switch now just waiting for it to turn off

What I thought was the switch wire was in fact the main, I am not sure how they were mixed up as copied the original configuration exactly.

The sleeves that go over the cables are they just tape?

Fan just turned off now :D , so we cracked it :D

start boarding the ceiling now
