Bathroom Fan Wiring - is it compliant?

Please show where I claimed you had used actual words which you had not.

see above
I have seen above. You still haven't done it.

My comment was about the poster not the post, but you know that don't you.
OK, fine - in that case what I wrote was about you, not about what you wrote.

So are you going to apologise for misleading people by making false allegations about me.
I haven't made any, and until I can decide whether you are behaving like a complete **** just to disrupt things or if you really are simply ******* thick I'm not going to respond to any more of your tedious whining.

Yes, and all it does is takes all credibility away from your posts.

Surely your social skills and range of vocabulary isn't that lacking that you have to resort to imprecation?

You're the one who chose what words to substitute for those placeholders - if you don't like the ones you chose then choose some different ones.

Why are you swearing again?
Am I?

Or am I, much like using Smilies as a short-hand method to convey the sense of a message, using symbols designed to express the contempt I feel for the way that little **** is behaving?

Blimey guys you've been busy. I've completely lost track of who likes who. I'm definitely not in a position to work out what's what so will just say a general thanks to anyone who's chipped in on the electrical side of things.

I can see that mixing circuits within one DP switch could be dodg - guess I posted to find out why. And even if I might squeeze it past Building Control, it's probably easier in the longer run to play it safe with them. I am completely rewiring the place so if they want to do a number on me they could probably create a lot of extra work; probably best not to get their backs up.

I'm now thinking I could do it all off the lighting circuit in a three module grid:

filled with two DP switches
- Switch A on diagram: http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/MKK4896.html
- Switch B on diagram: http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/MKK4896FN.html
and a fuse module:

Quick question: this is shown as a 13A fuse module. Presumably this is also ok for housing a 3A fuse as I need for the fan.

The wiring setup would just be this:
Sorry it's not the best diagram ever but hopefully still gets the design across.

I've also heeded advice and bought some 1.5sqmm T&E cable instead of the 2.5sqmm T&E I had left over from ring mains. And a short bit of triple-core for the fan with its permanent and switched live.

You've missed virtually nothing of relevance to your project - only 'playtime' :)

All looks fine to me - and, yes, you can use any size of fuse in that module.

Fine. Even 1mm² would have done.

Kind Regards, John.
