Hi All
Need some urgent help if possible.
Wife tightens taps too tight every night (I am sure i am not alone) so much so that last tight the tap handle sheared off.
I would rather not purchase a new shower mixer tap as they seem to be priced quite highly.
I did see these things called tap reviver kits. Anyone ever used these? I was wondering if they are any good and if they would work for what i need it for? From what I can see it has snapped inside the housing do i dont think that this is possible but would be jolly handy if it can be done.

You would need to get the broken part of the cartridge out. If you can then tap revivers will work. I use them all the time.

they come in low pressure (washer type) and ceramic - better if you have a combi which I'm guessing you do. replace both hot and cold and make sure the valves are the correct way round for your tap type ie: which way do they turn to turn tap on and off. If you have the old style screw down taps, you will need two valves which close clockwise and not a hot and cold kit.
