Baxi 105e fault

Please Help,
I have Baxi 105e combi boiler approx 3 years old when you run the hot water for approx 3 mins it the flame cuts out and you then get cold water after approx 1min it then powers up starting the whole cycle again resulting in a luke warm bath. The central heating side seems ok could anyone please point me in the right direction.
Thanks.

over the years any diluted debris from the rads dry out and bake inside the plate heat exchanger. Power flushing doesn't prevent this. You could install a filter on the return to prevent it happening again. You are best off taking the plate heat exchanger out and buying some cleaner from your local B & Q and that will get you going.

what utter garbage  is this the standard of baxi engineers here in the north?

Newcastle, work standards are going down after the recent St James re-naming excitment ;)

tee-hee hee ;)

Would like to see you change a diverter valve in 40 minutes.
Perhaps the engineer had used one on previous job.
Maybe he couldn't do it that day because his day had gone t*ts up and he didn't particularly feeling like working unpaid overtime
MAYBE HE WAS JUST SH*T.
If you were that concerned perhaps you could have got your arse down PTS and done the job for her

when you install a Platinum Combi with a 5 years warranty you don't expect to 1) it to squeel like a pig and 2) fix it your self when its under warranty?????????? Was you that lazy engineer?

The engineer also blamed it on sludge when the reps were telling us that there was a fault with the diverter valves which didn't have a bypass.

another example of poor quality engineers

Nope am another lazy engineer.
You're absolutely right. Service on that occasion was shoddy. I'm sure that there are plenty more examples of the same thing. Point is that Heateam chaps in some instances (not all) do a fairly good job under fairly arduous constraints.
Just like b.g and any other large svc provider they have engineers that range from god awful to excellent- regardless of length of service .

Northern Gas I mentioned are not the gas transporter you may be thinking of.

From a quick search there seems to be alot of Heateam engineers on here. I think that there is one bad egg in my region as he has upset alot of my customers. Not had the pleasure of meeting him yet but maybe one day as i have is first name. But i'm sure the is more than one Jason at your firm

Sorry am airing personal greavances. Colleagues (and customers) in Mid's area will be aware of the reasons behind comment.

Perhaps Mr Thompson should have kicked some ar,ses over there

I used to price platinums against CDi's due to the fact they had the 5 year warranty in the end I went through the WAI to allow me to offer the 5 year warranty on Worcester products.

Mainly due firstly to Platinums breaking down secndly Heatteam having no engineers who covered Aberdeen ( I believe this is still the case) so customers waiting at that time almost 2 weeks for a call out and thirdy Heatteam engineer filling customers heads with garbage regarding systems not being flushed.

I had one who came to replace a faulty pump and told the householder he would need to change the divertor valve and heat exchanger because the system hadn't been flushed.

The customer knew this was garbage as she was in while the powerflush was done. To put her mind at rest I went back, isolated the boiler, drained it into a bucket and removed the pump divertor valve and plate heat exchanger, the water from the boiler and all three parts were spotless.

The only reason I could think of was that he was a subby and was trying to boost his earnings. That was the last Baxi I ever fitted.
