Since Seven Trent suddenly switched off water in street to do an emergency underground repair our just under 1 yr old Baxi 105e combi has got when a cold or hot water tap is turned on then off a couple of quick 'knock' sounds?
All was fine until water supply was turned off without any notice, after we noticed the water had gone off i switched off the central heating, about 3min later. Upon the water supply back on i ran all taps until the water ran clear then the combi was switched back on.
I have heard of a faulty 'O' ring from new problem, which i suspect as the system has been fine for nearly a yr is not cause.
Could it be the filter 'sludged' on the cold mains in.
All pressure is perfect 1.5 on & rock stable.
All help greatly appreciated as weather very cold & 3 small children, 1 new baby in house.
