Hi Guys,

First post on here so please be gentle with me :D

I have a problem with the above boiler that i would like advise on please.

I am afraid its the old chestnut of intermitant hot water (again), but before you give up please read on.

This one is getting me down, when the ch is on we get a fairly decent (but not all the time) flow of hot water, although sometimes it is just lukewarm. When the heating is off we can hardly get hot water at all , and when we do its pretty poor as it goes hot/cold etc.. We have also noticed that when we are trying to get hot water it heats the nearest rad!

I have checked that the pin comes out of the diverter and trips the micro switch, so I am pretty sure its not the valve at fault. So my mind is wandering to either just the diaframe or possibly a blocked plate exchanger? If it is the plate can it be "unblocked" or de-scaled? and if so how?.

Any help on this is gratefully recieved as loathe to call out BG!

There are so many postings that I am sure you could have found this out by reading some of them.

It seems that you have ignored faults as they build up on your boiler.

Based solely on what you have said, as I have not seen it myself, you would seem to have three faults!

DHW flow switch failed
Manifold of diverter valve sticking
Plate HE blocked.
