Baxi Bermuda Annoying noise

We have a baxi bermuda back boiler situated in the lounge.

Occassionally it lapses into what can only be desribed as a roaring noise ( like you hear on the telly from those gas mains being set alight). The boiler is still heating fine. Its just that the boiler is currently waking me up most mornings as it comes on.

Does anyone know what could be causing this noise ?

This is a really hard one to diagnose on a forum like this but I think it sounds like the gas pressure may be too high,

If you have not had it serviced recently get it done and ask the engineer to check the burner pressure

sorry I cannot be more help to you but this problem is not a diy one

Thanks for the help .. I just basically wanted a little assurance it wasn't something stupidly obvious ( and cheap) that I'd get stung for if I called someone out..
