Hi all, our boiler was in the house when we moved in. Its a Baxi Boston 40 I think. If we have it on for long periods of time it starts making a really load banging noise every now and then. I had a engineer look at it and he said it could be the pump as that was sounding really "gurgily", he also said that it could be helped by the thermostat not working. The boiler never seems to shut down after reaching the correct temp.
Any ideas, Could these be the reasons or is it just the old boiler is ready for the knackers yard. Id prefer to fix it as we may be moving soon rather than paying for an expensive new system.
Any help would be great, Thanks.
