baxi maxflow combi wm boiler

hi all ive just started having problems with my boiler the problems are as follows ...

1 the flame failure button keeps coming on when pressing reset the boiler trys to re start but then eventho its cold the safety thermostat indicator comes on ....

2 on pressing the reset button it tries again but nothing happens thermostat indicator comes on again it DOES SOUND RATHER STRANGE AT RE SET!!!like train letting off excess pressure not sure but sitting cold till morning then will ring corgi man.

water pressure fine never needed to drain down
baxi want £300 to look at it and fix i think they know whats up as when i phoned they asked lots of questions about it ....but will gurantee for 12 mths

dont see this bioler very regular, any engineer that works work on it will aslo need unvented hot water cert, suffers from air locks due to aav not working, is the system pressure ok, can be difficult to get going after a drain down due to this air locking. The pump may not be working ?

There is a return filter fitted on the ch but if this was blocked may indicate further faults , is the prv leaking.
