Hi all,

I'm in a quandry. I'm planning bedside wall lights with a switch below. I have a 2 gang switch. One intermediate for the room light and a 1 way. This means 3 cables to the switch and 1 to the light.

The room is back to brick. I was thinking I'd just cut in deaper (say 25mm) and place 2 oval conduits on top of each other with one containing 3 cables going to the switch with a smaller conduit on top going to the light. Then when screwing the light to the wall it screws would go either side of the conduit. I've run into a problem with this plan.

The wall is internal and uses very narrow bricks. It is only 60mm think. I don't really want to cut in half the walls width. Whats my best option.

a) Move the light 100mm to the side
b) Cut in anyway, its only internal, not load bearing.

Also what would you recommend to T&E. Conduit or Capping?

Many thanks in advance.

Andy

you can get wider conduit to take 3 cables. You don't have to use conduit in the wall, it was only there for protection from plastering trowel, just install the cables without conduit.
