Hi folks,

I know these come in and out of preference as times change, but what is generally considered to be the best consumer unit / RCBO combination at the moment.

Will be needing 14 ways in total.

Cheers!

Hager all the way.

Don't forget to leave at least 20% spare for future use.

Best in which sense? Cost? Size?

They all meet approvals, so we need some selection criteria!

Third vote for Hager. It’s all we fit. A 5+5 costs £80 with MCBs. Can get slightly cheaper but not much so why bother? Top quality

Schneider/Merlin Gerin, Siemens...?
Schneider are obviously top of the range, and the Resi9 range (not Easy9, that’s horrible) isn’t TOO badly priced. I got a price recently, and a 6+4 (they don’t do a 5+5) is about £90+MCBs

Why not the Easy9+ range? IMO it's better than the plug-in Resi9+

Another vote for Hager.

Have to say QS aka Lewden are good value for money though if on a budget.

Go for it. Its his warranty.

Ooh, just had an original thought. Is the OP considering installing his own consumer unit?
