To use as a people carrier, you mean?
I rate the Berlingo, they're cheap as chips, loads around and come with HDi engines. The Picasso Xsara is slightly bigger.
The Connect is a great machine, fab to drive - but the underside paintwork is terrible.....I've had one in today - the underside a sea of rust (04 plate). Theres a dealer on every street corner though.
The Caddy should be the best for reliability - but they rarely are.
I don't rate the Renault - the engine is a pig to get at.
You pays yer money....etc.
John :)

Its a direct injection, turbo diesel engine...which the French are very good at. It means good starting, low emissions and good mpg.
Most diesels are direct injection these days...they only used to be fitted to trucks and staionary diesels but because the fuel injection pressures are now so high, they can be fitted to cars and vans.

as i've said many times DON'T BUY a transit connect unless you like the coffee at the dealership!
have had no end of trouble with mine. bill is rarely less than 700 notes everytime the blasted thing goes wrong which is about every 8 to 9 weeks!
only 2 days ago i got pulled by the bill for no brake lights (4th time they have failed)

i use a transit connect, firms. and yes ,same whith me back light goes often.also power steering pipe split twice. so no chance me having connect van.

Hello,
I think the Toyota Prius is a great choice! It has given excellent performance. You can't go wrong with a Toyota or a Honda, those two are the most reliable cars on the market.

Very good patient. if you think the world is going to end in 2012 who needs a relaible car?

Hello,
Haiti earthquake is a sign of 2012 destruction? If this true then what can we do?

I think Ford Connect is the best VAN.
Ford’s Transit Connect models have been refreshed to better appeal to businesses seeking a compact van.Ford may have arrived fashionably late into the modern small van market but with their Transit Connect, they certainly made an effective entrance. Still, the competition is much tougher these days, hence a series of improvements designed to keep the design current. What hasn’t changed is an impressive all-diesel engine range and that trademark Transit strength. :)
