I'm planning on blocking my existing backdoor which is on the side of my house and move it to the back. The construction of the cavity wall is block on the inside and brick on the outside with (I think) injection cavity insulation.
I'm planning on removing the door and plaster/render to reveal the block and brick work. I'm going to use wall starter kits or possibly frame ties to tie the new wall to the old. I'm also going to use Aerated Blocks on the inside and outside of the cavity as the wall will be rendered anyway. Thought it will be quicker and cheaper over bricks.
I'm not sure if there is any dpc below the existing door/door step so I was going to put some under the new walls and put earthwool cavity slab insulation in between.
Does this seem ok or is there something I'm missing or going to do wrong?
Any advice would be great.
