Hello, new to the forum and after some advice.

I have currently got a servowarm elite 30 boiler installed in my house which I believe is about 30 years old. I have been here for 7 years and touch wood havent really had any problems with it apart from the noise it makes which I have been told is 'kettling'. I had some 'stuff' put into the tank about a year ago which made it a lot quieter but lately it has started making the same old noises again and it sounds as if its struggling but having said that it heats the rads up. It also trips out quite a bit if you turn the temp up on it.

Is it worth getting this boiler looked at or would I be better off biting the bullet and getting a new combi boiler? Also what approx costs for a new combi boiler for a small house?

Thanks alot for any advice.

The heat exchanger sounds scaled up. Noise silencers are just that, i dont think they do any good in removing it. New boiler time id say.

Get quotes for combi installs from atleast 3 Corgi guys
