My girlfriend is getting a new boiler installed in her flat but has received a bewildering range of advice and options, so we would welcome any help or advice.

The flat has very low water pressure and from what I've read and some fitters have said, a combi is out of the question or risky as to whether it will give enough pressure, so she is looking at the conventional route. On this limited info, are we correct?

Our latest quote has recommended a Broag which I haven't heard a lot about. I understand they're more commercial suppliers and only recently moving into the domestic market. We've also been quoted for Winchesters. What do people think the best value/reliability model is?

Thanks for reading this and for any help you can give,

Cheers,

Steve

made good commercial stuff

winchester = rifle :confused:

boulter aint bad

then you could always go for the cheaper end of the market

but bear one thing in mind

any boiler is only as good as the standard of installation :idea:

Even the newest up to date expensive combis need at least 0.5 bar pressure to make them work on DHW.

Ideally you will need around 1.5 bar, otherwise you will struggle to even pressurise the ch side of the system.

As she is in a flat has she got any access to a loft foe a traditional cold storage tank to be sited?
